Wayne Alan Lee

WAYNE ALAN LEE, age 66, of Waterville died on Friday, July 7, 2023 at his cabin.

Wayne was born on March 21, 1957, in Mankato to Earl and Lorene (Groh) Lee. When he was born, Wayne’s father was serving in the United States Air Force which moved their family to Colorado, Texas and Oklahoma until the family landed back in Minnesota and made Eagan their home. He attended Burnsville Public Schools, graduating with the class of 1975. Wayne continued his education at Bemidji State University. Throughout his life, Wayne worked a variety of jobs in construction, pool installation, plumbing apprentice, hog farming, and commercial food delivery in multiple communities throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. He retired from U.S. Foods and made his home in Waterville. Everywhere Wayne lived, he developed a wide social circle and a fun-loving group of friends. Wayne enjoyed reading, cooking, socializing and remodeling. Blessed be his memory.

Wayne is survived by his parents, Earl and Lorene Lee of Eagan; brother, Dale (Ann) Lee of Blaine; fiancé, Maria Johnson of Owatonna; uncle, Gerald (Jeanette) Groh; cousins, extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by his grandparents; aunt, Jeanette Schmidt; cousin, Brian Schmidt; and uncle and aunt, James and Patricia Lee.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Friday, July 14, 2023 at the Waterville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Waterville. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
