Warren F. Schmid, age 60 of rural Elysian, died on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, December 1st from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Locust Street Bed & Breakfast in St. Peter (720 S. Minnesota Ave). A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. Arnoldt- McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is assisting the family with arrangements. He is survived by his wife Debra Elias of Elysian; by his daughter Kesah Schmitt of Washington DC; by his step-sons Joshua (Anastasia Panagopoulos) Hinkel of Mankato, and Jesse (Liz) Hinkel of Hibbing; by his brother Gary (Mila) Schmid of New Ulm; by many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Helmuth (LaVerna) Schmid.
