TIMOTHY JAMES BLACKMAN, age 76, of Waseca, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at the New Richland Care Center.

Tim was born on March 20, 1950, in Cutler Township, Juneau County, Wisconsin, to Everett and Dorothy (Russell) Blackman. He graduated from New Lisbon High School in 1968 and continued his education at the Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music, earning his pastoral certificate in 1971.

On July 27, 1968, Tim married the love of his life, Marilyn Mae Peckham in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin. Together they shared more than 58 years of marriage and were blessed with four children.

Faith was the foundation of Tim's life. He faithfully served as a pastor and reverend for more than 50 years, dedicating himself to sharing God's Word and caring for those in his congregations. Throughout his years of ministry, he touched countless lives through his compassion, guidance, and unwavering commitment to his faith. Prior to and during his ministry, Tim also worked as a bus driver and semi-truck driver. He also spent several years serving as chaplain at the Appleton Prison in Appleton, Minnesota, a role he deeply enjoyed. Tim had a special place in his heart for the inmates he ministered to and treasured the opportunity to share God's love, encouragement, and hope with those he served.

Tim was a member of Christ Community Church. In his free time, he enjoyed reading, especially books that deepened his knowledge and strengthened his faith.
