Samuel Earl Hadley

SAMUEL EARL HADLEY, age 77 of Waseca, Minnesota, died Saturday, May 6, 2023, at his home.


Born June 25, 1945, in Columbia, Kentucky, a son of the late Charlie Anderson Hadley and Willie Roxie (Andrew) Hadley. On October 10, 1969, he married Linda Sue Raider in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who preceded him in death. He graduated from Russell Spring Schools. Earl was a real simple guy. He loved gardening, watching old westerns and spending time with his friends and family. He was a chef and worked at various restaurants throughout his life. He attended Christ Community Church in Waseca.


He is survived by one son, Michael (Jeannie) Hadley, one daughter, Patty Spoonamore; grandchildren, Alexandra (Jarred) Knapp, Zacahry (Morgan) Hadley, Isabella Hadley, Jacob Hadley; three siblings, Geraldine Wilson, Randall Hadley and Patti Dunbar.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, Dwayne Hadley, and siblings, Lola May King, William Snow Hadley, Audra Morgan, Hazel Morgan, Gobel Hadley, Paul Hadley, Herbert Hadley, and Glen Hadley.


In honoring Earl’s wishes, he will be cremated. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Waseca Hospital Staff, Mankato Hospital, 4600 wing, and Mayo Hospice. A memorial service will be held at 7 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Christ Community Church in Waseca. Memorial contributions may be made in Earl’s name to Christ Community Church in Waseca or Mayo Clinic Hospice.
