ROBERT MARTIN MILLER, age 55, of Waseca passed away at his home on Saturday, January 28, 2023.
Robert was born to Edward and Shirley (Sack) Miller on April 28, 1967 in Waseca, MN during a tornado storm. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1986. Following his education, he went to work for Jeno Construction building grain bins. He was also involved in Itron and EF Johnson. He joined the military. After, Bob and Cynthia moved to Oregon where he ran his business, RCM Quality Service, for over ten years. They moved back to Minnesota where he was involved in the floor covering trade for over thirty years.
Outside of work, Bob loved his Harley motorcycle. He was a free spirit who would spend hours driving while enjoying his rock music. He would also enjoy working on wood. He would create pieces of wood that would highlight its natural beauty. Bob was a jokester. He loved surprising people to get their reactions. He loved animals, especially bald eagles, and astronomy where he could pick out constellations with his naked eye. He enjoyed chocolate ice cream, nacho cheese doritos, and peanut butter & jelly sandwiches. He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
Bob is survived by his life partner of 31 years, Cynthia Darbro of Waseca; daughter, Kari Miller (Dustin Baumgard) of Waseca; step-daughters, Carla Clampitt of Tennessee, Tammy Darbro of Kansas; mother, Shirley (Norman) Hanson of Owatonna; one and only grandchild, Laidon Mitchell Baumgard and several step-grandchildren; half-brother, Jason Hanson of Owatonna; step-sister, Carol (Nathan) Webster of Owatonna; cousins, Vickie (Allan) Bealuieu of Waseca, Wendy (Joe) Knudtson of Ellendale; and aunts, Carol Miller of Ellendale and Jean (Don) Eichoff of Janesville. He was preceded in death by father, Edward Miller; and maternal grandparents, Leona and Martin Sack.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt State Street Chapel in Waseca. Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
