Lucille "Susie" O'Brien

LUCILLE MARGARET “SUSIE” O’BRIEN , age 75 of Faribault died on Friday, August 30, 2013 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Born on March 22, 1938 in Waseca, Minnesota she was the daughter of Lawrence and Lucille (Babcock) McNamee.  She attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and later Waseca Central High School.  Lucille married Donald J. O’Brien on November 28, 1955 in Mason City, Iowa.  She had worked primarily as a housekeeper and operated her own house cleaning business.  She enjoyed reading and walking.  She had been a member of St. Canice Catholic Church in Kilkenny.  She had also been a member of the Waseca VFW Auxiliary and the Faribault American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by three sons, Lawrence O’Brien of Waseca, Michael O’Brien of Faribault, and Kenneth O’Brien of Waseca and eight grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Betty McMillen of Waterville.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one daughter, Kelly O’Brien; and one brother, James McNamee.

Per Lucille’s request, no public services are being held.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
