Nancy Ann Wiebold

NANCY ANN WIEBOLD, age 79, of Springfield, MO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at Whispering Creek in Janesville.

Nancy was born on April 2, 1947, in Waseca, Minnesota, to Albert and Alvera (Wobschall) Wiebold. She grew up in the Waseca area and went on to attend Trinity School and later graduated from Janesville High School in 1965. Nancy continued her education at the University of Minnesota, where she studied journalism and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1969.

Throughout her life, Nancy had a varied and interesting career. She worked with the Robert Kennedy campaign and was involved with political campaigns in Minneapolis. She also worked for a newspaper in Cherokee, Iowa, in food service, and later worked as a pharmacy technician.

Nancy had a love for the simple things that brought joy to everyday life. She especially loved cats and flowers, and these interests were a meaningful part of her life. She will be remembered by those who knew her for the things she loved, the experiences she shared with others, and the lasting place she held in her family's lives.

Nancy is survived by her brothers, Mike (Mary) Wiebold of Mankato and Russ (Donna) Wiebold of Janesville, as well as nieces and nephews, John (Hillary Panowitsch) Wiebold, Steve (Beth Hanley) Wiebold, Erik (Bridget) Wiebold, Dara (Noah) Little, great-nieces and great-nephews, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and her great-niece, Audrey Wiebold.

A private graveside service for Nancy will held at a later date at St. John's Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Iosco Township, Waseca County.
