Mary Ann Kopischke August 14, 1935 - January 17, 2015

Mary Ann Kopischke, age 79, formerly of Janesville, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Buffalo Care Center in Buffalo, Minnesota following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca with Pastor Victor Waters officiating. Interment will be held at Alma City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church.

Arrangements are being completed by McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca.

Mary Ann, daughter of Clarence and Irene (Goltz) Born, was born on August 14, 1935 in Alton Township. She was united in marriage to Herman Kopischke on September 5, 1962 at the Salem Evangelical United Brethren Church and was homemaker for most of her life. She enjoyed ice fishing, gardening, and caring for her cats and dogs. She grew up in a strong, faithful family and she loved spending time and talking with her sisters.

Mary Ann is survived by her sister, Delores (Harold) Hanson of Long Lake, MN; sister-in- law, Anita Born of Sioux Falls; nieces and nephews. Brenda DeJong of Sioux Falls, SD, Dean (Ann) Born of Sioux Falls, Lori Anne (Ray) Schelhaas of Edgerton, MN, Marie (Dan) Hedtke of South Haven, MN, Daniel Hanson of Plymouth, Denise (Richard) Fox of Waseca, Douglas Born of Waseca, Debra (Gary) Mulcahy of Waseca, and James Ewendt of St. Clair; and by many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Dale Born, Willard Born, and infant brother, Luverne; and by her sister, Gladys Ewendt.
