Marvin "Smokie" Landkammer

MARVIN “SMOKIE” LANDKAMMER, age 75 of Waseca died Friday, July 11, 2025, at Mayo Clinic Health System – Mankato.

He was born on December 12, 1949, in Springfield. He was the youngest son of Leo and Fern (Smith) Landkammer. On May 3, 1975, he married Deborah Streich in Essig, though they later divorced, they remained very close companion friends until his passing. Smokie served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he lost many friends in the war but would keep many stories from his time in service to tell throughout his life to his family. He worked for Brown Printing in Waseca for 38 years. He had a great sense of humor that loved telling stories, he loved cruising around in his car while partaking in a nice toke here and there, he especially loved road trips and tattoos. He had a strong love for music, especially bands like AC/DC and Creedence Clearwater Revival but most of all, he loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his former wife, Deborah; children, Katrina (Terry) Britton, Adam Landkammer (Allison Day), Karlie (Corey) Anderson; grandchildren, Aaron Linder, Lindsey Hall, Austin Britton, Kayla Landkammer, Jadyn Harty, Lily Landkammer, Gabriella Anderson, and one brother, Richard Landkammer. He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Donald Landkammer, Loren Landkammer, Dolores Zellner, Steve Landkammer, Roman Landkammer, Lois Landkammer and Marlene Balk.

A visitation will be held, Friday, July 18, 2025, from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM at Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service – Third Street Chapel in Waseca. A memorial meal will follow the conclusion of the visitation at the State Street Chapel in Waseca.
