MARK ALBERT DAMMANN, age 60 of Waseca, formerly of Janesville, died on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
Mark was born in Garden Grove, California on September 15, 1965, to parents Virgil and Delores (Schwebach) Dammann. He attended La Quinta High School before earning his G.E.D. He continued his education at MSU where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Mark was married to Tina McCarthy and they later divorced. Over his working life he was employed as a paralegal and also at Wiz Pack and Crowne Cork & Seal where he started on the production floor and ended as their shipping manager. He loved gardening and being a full-time grandpa. Mark was kind, caring, emotional, and never afraid to learn new things. He put his all into everything he did. He was passionate about everything he did and he lived his life to the fullest. Mark lit up any room he entered and was always the life of the party. He was greatly loved and will be missed by all.
Mark is survived by four children, Carly Kruse, Chase Dammann, Cassandra Damman, and Emily Damman; two grandchildren, Kingston and Oraya; and five siblings, Allen, Albert, Dean, Deborah, and Tammy; his previous spouse, Tina; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one sister, Sandra.
Following cremation, Mark’s children will hold a gathering to be later announced.
