Born in Waterville on January 12, 1928, Lucille was the daughter of William and Gertrude (Hoffman) Poehler. She was the third of six children. She graduated from Waterville High School with the class of 1945. On February 11, 1950, Lucille married William J. Grose at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville. She then went on to work at Red Owl Grocery in Waterville, at Nusbaum’s Grocery Store in Waterville, at Brown Printing in Waseca, and the Waterville Nursing Home in the laundry department. Lucille was most proud of her three daughters and two sons and their families. She enjoyed every minute she spent with them. She LOVED watching baseball with her two favorite teams: the Waterville Indians and the Minnesota Twins. She also enjoyed fishing, reading, cross stitching, and watching Jeopardy. She was a quilter with the ladies’ group at her long-time church home, Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville. She will be fondly remembered for her amazing wit, humor, and compassion.
