Loren Henry Fette

LOREN HENRY FETTE, age 81, of Pemberton, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Mapleton Community Home in Mapleton. 

Loren was born on March 31, 1942, in Meriden to Leonard and Frances (Nuehring) Fette. He grew up in Waseca and graduated from Waseca Public School with the class of 1960. On December 4, 1965, Loren was united in marriage to Sandra Southwick at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Loren and Sandra lived in the Waseca and Janesville area for a number of years before making their home in Pemberton while raising their five children. He worked for many years at Brown Printing in Waseca, retiring in 2004. 

Loren enjoyed playing cards and bingo, watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and was an avid collector of Budweiser Steins. In his retirement he served for many years on the Pemberton City Council. Loren was a member of Medo Lutheran Church in Pemberton. 

Loren is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra; children: Scott and his wife, Melanie of Apple Valley, Brian and his wife, Julie of Prior Lake, Jason and his wife, Karynn of Mankato, Lori Proehl and her husband Adam of Prior Lake, and Chad and his wife, Kim of Albertville; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Shirley Fette of Waseca and Myrt Weyhrauch of Rochester; brothers-in-law, David Southwick and his wife Marcella of Waseca and Douglas Southwick and his wife, Catherine of Medford; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ira and Pearl (Wilson) Southwick; brother, Leo Fette; sister, Leona Kilmer and her husband Albert; brother-in-law, Darold Weyhrauch. 

Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel on Thursday.
