Lorelle Ann Sexton

LORELLE ANN SEXTON, age 70 of Waseca, passed away on the morning of Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the New Richland Care Center.

Lorelle was born in Mankato on February 5, 1952 to Melvin and Dorothy (Kain) Minse. As a girl she attended school in Waldorf, graduating with the class of 1970. She was married to Michael Joseph “Joe” Sexton on October 8, 1977. While raising their family Lorelle worked as a paraprofessional in the Waseca Public Schools from 1994 until her retirement in 2015. Lorelle was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

Lorelle is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Joe Sexton of Waseca; two daughters, Angela (Jeff) Larson of Marshall, and Julie (Simon) Broughten of Wilson, WY; two granddaughters, Emilie and Audree Larson of Marshall; and one brother, Roland (Paula) Minse of Eagle Lake. She was preceded in death by both of her parents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Father The Hoang officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at the church. Interment will take place at Waseca’s Calvary Cemetery in the spring of 2023.
