Lisa Kathleen Carroll

Jan 19, 1952 — Nov 2, 2026

Janesville, Minnesota

Lisa Kathleen Carroll passed away at her home in Janesville, MN on November 2, 2026.

Born on January 19, 1962 in St Anthony, MN, she was the daughter of Donald and La Vonne (Eischens) Hickerson. She attended school in St Anthony, MN and later attended Rasmussen Business College for a short time. In 1980, she married Craig Allen Carroll in Columbia Heights, Minnesota, and together they welcomed a daughter, Jessica, into their family. They later divorced. She held various jobs throughout her life such as making pies at a factory in Chaska, working at a nursing home in Belle Plaine to various Wal-Mart bakeries. When she retired she found joy in caring and helping her grandchildren every day and finding ways to bless other people.

Lisa's family was her greatest joy. She loved being together, helping wherever she could, and making sure those she loved were cared for. She had special nicknames for her daughter and each of her grandchildren, little reminders of the unique bond she shared with each of them. Birthdays and holidays were always special to her, she would buy presents for her nieces, nephews, daughter and grandchildren to make them all feel special. Thanksgiving and Christmas held a special place in her heart as all the families would gather together. She loved filling her home and life with family, laughter and togetherness through her making special cookies with her grandchildren to filling the table with food at the holidays. She loved to play games such as Sudoku, Life, Apples to Apples, Uno and the white Elephant game at Christmas. From day trips and weekend getaways to the excitement of Black Friday shopping, Lisa treasured every opportunity to make memories with her family. It wasn't so much what they did, but simply being together that made her happiest.

Lisa had a way of making people feel remembered and loved. Whether through a birthday card, a thoughtful note, or simply a few words to let someone know she was thinking of them, she never missed an opportunity to show she cared. Her beautiful smile and kind heart left a lasting impression on those around her. Her faith was also an important part of her life, and she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, where she continued to grow in her faith. Lisa's life was filled with love, kindness, and a genuine concern for others and the many ways she shared that love will be remembered by all who knew her.

Lisa will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Jessica (Cody) Fox; grandchildren, Kenzie, Kira, and Carter; sister, Charise Hickerson, brother, Greg Hickerson; sisters-in-law, Lisa (John) Mott, Brenda Carroll, and Kathy Hickerson; brothers-in-law, Tom (Heather) Carroll and Scott Carroll; along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald John Hickerson and Scott Hickerson(in infancy) and sister-in-law Debbie.
