Linda Rae Knauss

February 4, 1949 — May 15, 2026

Waseca, Minnesota

LINDA RAE KNAUSS, age 77, of Waseca, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 15, 2026, surrounded by family.

Born on February 4, 1949, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Linda was the daughter of Philip and Estelle (Butze) Lee. She graduated from St. Peter High School with the Class of 1967. On September 7, 1968, Linda was united in marriage to Neil Knauss in St. Peter. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, hard work, and making memories with the people they loved most.

Linda worked throughout her life in many different roles, always helping support her family. She managed and ran the deli at Randall’s, provided daycare, and spent many years cleaning homes and businesses throughout the area. She took great pride in her work and was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and servant’s heart. Linda also volunteered at church and with the Historical Society, where she especially enjoyed learning about local history.

Family was the center of Linda’s life. She loved having family gatherings, potlucks, camping trips, and reunions. Whether sitting around a campfire, traveling across the country, or wintering in Texas, Linda cherished time spent with those she loved. She was a true go-getter who did not like to waste time and remained fiercely independent throughout her life.

Linda enjoyed gardening, flowers, bird watching, crafting, music, and spending time outdoors. She loved tending to her plants and keeping a beautiful yard. She was also a devoted supporter of veterans and was active in the Legion Auxiliary for over 40 years. Her faith was important to her, and she remained involved with her church community, often helping others by driving them to church or appointments and assisting wherever needed.

Linda is survived by her children, Robert (Amy) Knauss of Marble, Carrie (Michele) Knauss-Pomeroy of Helena, MT, and Sherrie (Andy) Seidensticker of Shakopee; five grandchildren; siblings, Ginny (Harold) Wacker of Madelia, Roger E. Lee of Eatonville, Doug (Linda) Lee of Calicoon, NY; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Neil; and sister-in-law, Mary Lee.
