Laurie Anne Pryor-Whitaker

LAURIE ANNE PRYOR-WHITAKER, age 59 of Waseca died on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Born on December 14, 1965 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Clyde and Lorraine (Yess) Pryor. She attended school in Waseca before graduating from New Richland-Hartland High School in 1984. Laurie was married to Craig Murphy and they later divorced.

She loved life and adored animals. Although Laurie couldn’t have children of her own, she was a devoted aunt who doted on her nieces and nephews.

Laurie was previously married to Terry Whitaker. Though they later divorced, they had rekindled their relationship in recent years.

She is survived by her special friend, Terry Whitaker; one sister, Jolene (Jeffery) Meyer; half siblings, Denise (Richard Perry) Fox and Douglas Born; and nieces and nephews, Anthony Blatter, Jennifer (Mark) Lloyd, Michelle Meyer, and Justina (Andrew) Ibarra; and many great nieces and nephews as well as other half siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rohnna Blatter; two nephews, Kevin Pryor and Derek Blatter; and other half siblings.
