KENNETH LOREN DINSE, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at Timberdale Trace Memory Care in Owatonna.
Ken was born on April 24, 1943, the son of Martin and Edna (Abbe) Dinse. He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1961. Life after graduation was spent on the family farm raising livestock and crops with his dad and sons.
Ken married Sandy Jensen on October 6, 1963 at Aurora Lutheran Church in rural Owatonna. They were blessed with three sons and spent 62 years together. He was a lifetime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Meriden where he taught Sunday School and served on the church council. Ken was a member of the Meriden Town Board and was treasurer for 18 years. Years were spent as 4-H leader while enjoying his boys playing softball for the Meadowlarks.
Ken’s hobbies were fishing, carpentry, working the land and bringing in the last load of corn in the fall. It’s doubtful if anyone will ever forget his sense of humor and the hundreds of jokes he loved sharing with friends and family.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sandy; sons, Keith and Mike (Marsha) both of Owatonna; grandchildren, Sara (Troy) Kubista, Jenny (Marcus) Anderson, John (fiancée Johanna), Matt (Paige), Mitch (fiancée Sammie), Mikayla (Zach) Zuber, Mallory Olson and Adam Olson; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Jack, Millie, and Margo Kubista, Ryan, Blake, and Nora Anderson, Kayson, Asher, and Olivia Dinse. He is also survived by sister-in-law, DeLoyce (Tom) Anderson and brother-in-law, Joel (Janice) Jensen. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Neil; and daughter-in-law, Vonna Dinse.
Services celebrating Ken’s life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of services at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or the donor’s choice.
Ken’s family wishes to thank Timberdale Trace for the wonderful care Ken received and heartfelt gratitude to St. Croix Hospice for their loving care.
