Jannelle (Jobe) Morsching, chosen by God before she was born, was taken to her heavenly home to be with Christ according to His perfect plan on October 4th 2026.
Jannelle was born May 29, 1954 in Mankato MN along with her twin sister, Jeanette. At the age of 3 her family moved from Vernon Center, MN to Waterville, where she spent the next 15 years. She graduated from W-E school and went on to receive her Associate of Arts degree from Rochester Community College. In 1974 she obtained her RN license and worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. In 1975 she married her high school sweetheart Gary Morsching and lived her remaining years on the 150 year old Morsching family farm North of Elysian.
Jannelle worked part time in several areas of nursing throughout her life including St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, the Waterville Good Samaritan Center, the American Red Cross as an instructor for adult/child/infant CPR and first aid, a camp nurse for the Singing Hills Girl Scout camp, an RN consultant for Waterville Hope Residence and her most recent job before retiring, a Nurse Manager at Bio Life Plasma Services in Mankato.
Her years of joy were raising her 6 children on the farm and watching the addition of 11 grandchildren. What a blessing they were! They gave her endless days of enjoyment! She was known for hosting many family get-togethers where her cooking skills were unmatched. Her love and trust in the Lord was evident throughout her life in all she did.
Once the kids were grown and she had more time to spend on hobbies, her flower beds became her passion. She was known for beautiful flower gardens and her most recent "bee friendly" garden. She loved reading, crossword, and jigsaw puzzles. Her love for history led her to become the family genealogy go-to.
A month before her 60th birthday she fulfilled her life-long dream of obtaining her motorcycle license. If Gary was busy she would take the cycle out and spend hours in the afternoon cruising the countryside. She also loved 4-wheeling and trips riding the woods of Northern MN and WI and riding bike on the Sakatah trail. When she fully retired she learned the sport of pickleball and played as often as she could until her health slowed her down.
Jannelle is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Gary, and their 6 children, Jason Morsching, Jon (Laura) Morsching and Thomas Morsching all of Waterville, Jarad Morsching of Delano, Tricia (Chase) Williams of Northfield, and Jannah (Jon) Fleischacker of Cologne.
