Janie Louise Nett

JANIE LOUISE NETT, age 77 of Minneapolis, died on Monday, September 28, 2026 at North Oaks Memory Care.

Born on September 27, 1949 in Mankato, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Jacob and Donna (Meagher) Longeneker. She graduated from Waldorf-Pemberton High School in 1967 and later graduated from Concordia University. Jane worked as a legal secretary at Lindquist and Vennum in Minneapolis for 30 years. She married Kevin Nett on February 14, 1996 in the Caymen Islands.

She is survived by her husband, Kevin of Minneapolis; siblings, Judy (Janis) Longeneker of Garrison, Louise Kantack of Lakeville, and Mark (Denise) Longeneker of Minnesota Lake; brother-in-law, Mark Neste of Waseca; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Warrick; brother, Larry Longeneker; sister, Lynda Neste; brother-in-law, Ed Kantack; and great-niece, Jaelyn Elvrum.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waldorf. Visitation will be held one hour before services at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Community Cemetery in Waldorf with a reception to be held at the Waldorf Community Center.
