James Lawrence McNamee, age 67, of Mankato, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026.
Born on March 5, 1959, in Waseca, he was the son of James Frederick and Betty Lou (Abbe) McNamee. Jim grew up in Waseca and attended Waseca Public Schools. Throughout his life, he worked various jobs and was known for his kind heart. Jim loved his family deeply—they meant the world to him. He enjoyed riding his bike, listening to rock music, working on cars, reading, drawing, painting, and hunting alongside his brothers.
He is survived by his siblings: Laura (Robert) Maas of Janesville and Don McNamee (Marilyn Elbert) of Faribault; nieces and nephews, Jason McNamee, Kenneth Maas, Christopher Maas, Joy McNamee, and John McNamee; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; baby brother, Ronald; brother, Bill; and sister-in-law, Diane.
Interment will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
