Jacob Henry Papinski

JACOB HENRY PAPINSKI, age 37 of Eagan, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.

Born on February 17, 1988 in Chicago, IL, Jacob was the son of Richard and Barbara (Possehl) Papinski. He attended NRHEG High School.

Jacob had a deep love for all things artistic. Music was at the heart of who he was—he was rarely without his guitar, carrying it wherever he went. He especially enjoyed playing folk and festival music and shared his talents as a DJ at weddings. Jacob was also creative in many other ways; he owned his own tie-dye business and enjoyed attending music festivals, particularly those held at Harmony Park. Karaoke nights brought him joy, and he also had a fond interest in coin collecting.

A unique, complex, and free spirit, Jacob had a gift with words and a way of drawing people into conversation. He was a caring older brother who deeply loved and looked out for his younger brothers. He adored his mother and cherished the time they spent together. Jacob enjoyed being surrounded by friends and was known for his kindness and his heart of gold.

Jacob is survived by his father, Richard Papinski of Eagan; brothers, Jordan Papinski of Owatonna, Joshua Papinski of New Richland; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Papinski.

Memorial service for Jacob will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 28, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church.
