DONALD “BUTCH” MELVIN KORMAN, age 72, of Owatonna passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at his home.
Butch was born on April 9, 1953 in Waseca to Melvin and Edna (Gehring) Korman. He graduated from New Richland-Hartland High School in 1971. Over the years, he worked for several companies including OMC, Corchrans, Mercury, and Winegars. He also enjoyed helping out on the family farm.
In his free time, Butch liked snowmobiling and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed visiting South Dakota to spend time with his good friend, Al Herrick. He loved animals, especially his dog, Snuggles. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Waldorf.
Butch is survived by his sisters, Bonnie Truebenbach, Denise (Stan) Kluge; nephews and nieces, Mike Truebenbach, Terry Truebenbach, Kristina (Ryan) Whitesell, Michelle Kluge; great-niece and nephew, Julia and Adam Whitesell; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Paul Truebenbach; and special canine companion, Snuggles.
Funeral service for Butch will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Waldorf. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at First Lutheran Cemetery in Waldorf.
