Debbie Damiana Culbertson

DEBBIE DAMIANA (MELENDREZ) CULBERTSON, age 55 of Waseca, died on the evening of Thursday, August 21, 2025 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Debbie was born in Worthington, MN on June 1, 1970 to parents Paul Melendrez, Sr. and Beatrice (Melendrez) Ramirez. She attended school in Lubbock, Texas. On August 18, 2018 Debbie married Dustin Randy Culbertson at Waseca Christian Assembly. Debbie was always very dedicated to others and she worked in the healthcare field since she was twenty-one years old. She enjoyed watching reality and crime television shows, reading, and thrifting, but more than anything she loved spending time with her grandkids, family, friends, and her cats, Henry, Diva, and Baby. She will be sorely missed by those who loved her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Dustin Culbertson of Waseca; her daughter, Brittany Melendrez and her partner Eric Duenes of Waseca; two grandchildren, Rhyan Burrous and Emery Chance; her father, Paul Melendrez, Sr; her sister, Elaine (Weston) Dworak of La Crosse, WI; her brother-in-law, Russ Rinehart of Waseca; and many nieces; nephews; and their families. She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice (Melendrez) Ramirez; brother Paul Melendrez, Jr; sister Lisa Rinehart; and other beloved relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Waseca Christian Assembly, with Rev. Wayne Matthews officiating. A public visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church. Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
