CHARLES JOHN DIBBLE, age 78, of Pemberton went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 29, 2025, in St. Louis Park.
Charles was born on October 24, 1946, in Austin to Charles B. and Bessie (Sladek) Dibble. He grew up in Austin and spent a lot of time with the Oakland, MN Gang. Chuck graduated from Austin High School with the class of 1965. In 1968, Chuck was drafted into the United States Army, serving his country during the Vietnam War being stationed in Chalou and Nam area before being honorable discharged in 1970. He continued serving his country with the National Guard – Austin Unit. Chuck attended Austin Community College and Albert Lea Technical School for drafting and illustrating. He worked for the Austin Railroad, Winnebago Homes, Hormel Foods, Scotsman Ice Machines, before beginning a 25-year career with Caterpillar in Owatonna and later in life driving van for Palmer Bus Service in Janesville. Chuck loved NASCAR and his motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling and spending his Saturday mornings drinking coffee at Hy-Vee in Austin with the Oakland, MN Gang. Above all else he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Chuck was baptized on May 2, 1947, at First United Methodist Church in Austin and was confirmed on June 30, 1991, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Janesville. On September 28, 1991, he was united in marriage to Alice Margaret Krause at Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Janesville. Chuck was active in his church, serving as treasurer for 13 years and head usher. He was a member of American Legion Post 281 in Janesville.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 33 years, Alice of Pemberton; daughter, Carrie (Al) Parker of Waseca; grandsons: Andrew (Melissa) Parker and Cameron Parker; great grandchildren: Nathan, Mythais, Dexter and Vanellope Parker. He is also survived by his brother, Kenneth (Joann) Dibble of Spokane, WA; brother-in-law, Armin (Janet) Krause; two special nephews: Nathan Krause of Brooklyn Center, and Mitchell (Ally) Krause and their children: Adeline, Madison and baby boy due in September of Denver, CO; niece, Jennifer (Kevin) Stoll and family of Seattle, WA; nephew, Christopher Dibble of Spokane, WA; his furry daughter, Rosie; former wife, Cindy (Young) Johnson; other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; stepdad, Thomas Chrencik; son, Charles Dibble (4/13/24); in-laws: Arnold (Irene) Krause, and Lawrence (Barb) Young.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the Janesville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Services. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Funeral Service will be 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville with Rev. Larry Sipe officiating. Interment will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Freedom Township, Waseca County.
