Charles "Chuck" Schuette

CHARLES “CHUCK” G. SCHUETTE, age 72 of Owatonna died on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Crestview House in Owatonna.

Born on August 27, 1953 in Faribault, Minnesota, he was the son of Norval and Mae (Seljeskog) Schuette. Chuck graduated from Waterville-Elysian High School in 1971. He married Linda Wobschall in 1977 and they welcomed one daughter, Charity before their marriage ended in divorce.

Chuck worked at a number of places in the Waterville and Waseca areas including Burns Dry Cleaning, Brown Printing and Birds Eye. He also worked as an over-the-road truck driver for several years. He had just begun working at North Central Plastic in Ellendale in 1991 when he was permanently disabled in a motorcycle accident. He loved spending time in the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycle and snowmobile. Above all, he loved being Grandpa.

He is survived by his daughter, Charity (Tyler) Haugen of Sartell; two grandchildren, Parker and Cora; two sisters, Sue (Randy) Wobschall and Lori (Steve) Gehring both of Waseca; sister-in-law, Candy Schuette of Kasson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary (Dave) and Betty; one brother, Rich; and his former wife, Linda.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church-Wilton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville at a later date.
