BETTY LOU (PAGE) KRENKE, age 91, of Northfield, Minnesota, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2026, at Birchwood Cottages in Owatonna.
Betty was born on February 17, 1935, in Northfield, Minnesota, to James and Eleanor (Anfinson) Page. She attended Northfield schools and graduated from Northfield High School with the Class of 1953.
On August 22, 1959, Betty was united in marriage to Roland Gustav Krenke at St. John's Lutheran Church in Northfield. The couple farmed in the Ellendale area until 1966, when they moved to Owatonna. Betty devoted herself to her family while also working a variety of jobs over the years, including positions at Montgomery Ward, Sears, and Walmart.
Faith was an important part of Betty's life. She joined St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Meriden in 1959 and later became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna in 1966. Betty enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, and completing word-search books. She especially treasured time spent with her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her son, James Krenke and his wife, Pam, of Owatonna; daughter, Pamela Ann Krenke of Owatonna; two grandchildren, Cory James Krenke and Karissa (Andrew) Lynn Van Osdale; three great-grandchildren, Lila L. Van Osdale, Piper M. Van Osdale, and Tucker J. Van Osdale; and brother, John (Mary) Page of Northfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Krenke; son, William "Bill" Krenke; her parents, James and Eleanor Page; sister, Lois (George) Haworth; brothers, Rodger "June" Page, Percy (Lois) Page, Leroy (Marie) Page, Don Page; and sister-in-law, Mary Page.
Memorial service for Betty will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2026 at the Third Street Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Meriden.
