Bernice Evelyn Scholer

Bernice Evelyn Scholer, age 92 of Austin, MN passed away peacefully on October, 8, 2026 at Good Samaritan Society in Austin, MN.

Born on October 28, 1933 in Waseca, MN to Edward and Dorothy (Kletschka) Scholer. She attended Waterville Schools, graduating in 1951. She continued her education at Mankato Teachers College and went on to pursue a career in education. After teaching in several schools, she joined the Austin School District, where she dedicated many years to teaching before retiring.

Bernice found joy in tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, taking pride in watching things grow and flourish. She had a generous, helping heart and was always willing to lend a hand to family and friends. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she was a longtime member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin, Minnesota, where she found strength and comfort throughout the years.

She will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Marjorie Anderson, Dorothy Mae Whiting, and Betty Ann Abbe; brother, Robert Scholer; brothers-in-law, Eric Anderson, Giles (Art) Abbe; sister-in-law, Elaine Scholer; and nieces and nephews.

Bernice will be laid to rest at the Calvary Cemetery in Waterville, MN on Monday October 12, 2026 at 10:00 AM.
