BERNARD ANTHONY HAUSEN, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2023, at his home in Waterville Minnesota. 

Bernie was born to Francis and Erlis Hausen on July 21, 1958, in Rice County Minnesota.  He spent most of his life living in Minnesota. He attended High School in Brainerd, Minnesota and then joined the Marine Corps. He then joined the Army Reserves. During his high school years, Bernard worked with his father who owned Town and Country Drywall. He had worked in various positions during his lifetime, such as meat packing, a cemetery assistant, etc. but decided to do what he enjoyed much more, which was the Drywall business. He owned his own business, worked for Berg Drywall and Mulcahy Nickolaus where he retired in August of 2021. 

Bernie and PeggySue were united in marriage in July of 1979 and then renewed their vows on July 23, 2011, in Waterville Minnesota where they resided until his passing. They had 3 children and enjoyed going to visit them whenever he could.  Bernie enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley. He loved to travel with his wife and really enjoyed being a grandfather to his grandchildren. 

Bernie leaves behind his wife, PeggySue of Waterville, Minnesota; his daughter, Tina Hausen of Reno, NV; his sons, William (Creeo) Hausen of Las Cruces, NM and Bayley Benson of Lewiston, ID; his three grandchildren, Taylon Hausen of Las Cruces, NM, Kayleigh and Allyssa Hausen of Reno, NV; seven brothers, Steven (Diana) Schull of Faribault, MN, Larry (Nancy) Hausen of Tangent, OR, Joseph (Linda) Hausen of Mayer, AZ, George (Corrine) Hausen of Faribault, MN, Daniel (Joy) Ostlund of Warroad, MN, Robert Hausen of Faribault, MN and Jerry Hausen of Faribault, MN; three sisters, Judy (Thomas) Simons of Hillsboro, OR, Lillian (Billy) Howard of Mayer, AZ and Barbara (Charles) Hanegraff of Faribault, MN; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Bernie is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Erlis Hausen; brother, Layne Lockwood; and sister, Jean Ann Schmidtke. 

Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date.
