AnneMarie Burgess

ANNEMARIE BURGESS, age 61 of Janesville, died on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her home.

Born on December 22, 1962, in Mankato, she was the daughter of Steve and Ethel (Johnson) Sens. She graduated from Janesville High School Class of 1981. In 2013, she graduated from Minnesota State University – Mankato with her master’s degree. AnneMarie spent her life in the pursuit of improving other people’s lives and the community. She worked with numerous foster children and impacted many lives in the area. She was a kindhearted soul who sought to always help others. AnneMarie was family focused and loved her children dearly. She was very passionate about raising animals, Horses! She was a member of the United States Junior Chamber, also known as the “Jaycees.”

She is survived by her mother, Ethel; children, Tyler (Jennifer), Nick (Chelsey), Garrett (Felicia), Kyle, Kelsey (Don), and Lynsey; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Tami, Jodi (Paul), and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Steve.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the Janesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy King officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.
