Andrew "Andy" Jon Anderson

ANDREW "ANDY" JON ANDERSON, age 53, of Janesville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 4, 2026, following a fierce two-year battle with cancer.

Andy was born on August 18, 1973, in Fairmont, Minnesota, to Howard and Marlene (Sheely) Anderson. He grew up on a farm near Truman. While working in Mason City, Iowa, he met the love of his life, Joleen, and the two were married on September 3, 1994, in Spring Valley, Minnesota. They eventually made their home in Janesville, where they spent 28 years building a life and raising their family.

Andy was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who treasured time with his family. He especially loved spending time with his two granddaughters. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and BBQing, and he was known for his love of family gatherings. One of his favorite traditions was making the Thanksgiving turkey each year.

Andy worked as a Chief Engineer at AmeriPride for more than 20 years. He took pride in his work.

He is survived by his wife, Joleen Anderson of Janesville; his daughters, Brooke (Bryce) Krejcarek of Owatonna, Kaley (Caden) Pratt of Lonsdale, and Jacey (Alex) Anderson of Shakopee; and his two granddaughters, Nora and Macie Krejcarek. He is also survived by his mother, Marlene Anderson; siblings, Cindy (Keith) Ekstrom of Truman, and Greg Anderson of Springdale, AR; along with many other relatives and friends.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Howard Anderson; sister, Penny Anderson; his paternal and maternal grandparents; nephew, Kyle Ekstrom and his mother-in-law, Norene Hammon.

Andy will be remembered for his love of family, his hardworking spirit, his sense of humor, and the countless memories he created with the people he loved. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
