AMIE KAYE CHRISTIANSEN, age 47 of Janesville, died unexpectedly on the morning of Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato.
Born in Waseca on May 19, 1974, Amie was the daughter of Jerry and Deborah (Fell) Tesch. She graduated from Waseca High School before attending Rasmussen College where she studied accounting. During her time in Waseca High School Amie met Todd Harold Christiansen, the man that would become her husband on October 26, 2001. They were married at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca. Over the years Amie worked several part-time jobs but was also employed at Erickson’s IGA in Waseca, Truth Hardware in Owatonna, and most recently at Josten’s in Owatonna. Throughout it all, though, Amie was a full time stay at home mom for her family. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville, and enjoyed reading, drawing, caring for cats (especially “Jelly” and “Letty”), photography, competitive darts, and had an impressive collection of stickers, stamps, and pens. Amie had a bright smile, sparkling eyes, and had the biggest, most selfless heart of anyone you’ve ever met. She loved spending time with friends and family and will be greatly missed.
Amie is survived by her husband, Todd Christiansen of Janesville; two daughters, Montana Christiansen and her fiancé Robbie Bignell of Mankato, and Taylor Christiansen of Janesville; her parents, Jerry and Deborah Tesch of Le Sueur; and a brother, Jeremy Tesch and his girlfriend Cynthia Gaylor of Mankato. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and one brother, Jason Tesch.
Amie’s family will hold a celebration of her life at a future date to be later announced.
