Alan “Al” Wayne Wilker, age 75, of Waseca, died on the evening of Friday, October 31, 2025, at the New Richland Care Center.
Al was born in Waseca on October 8, 1950, to parents Herbert “Sid” and Arlene “Blondie” (Eischen) Wilker. He attended school in Waseca and graduated with the class of 1968. In December of 1971, Al married Barbara Bult at Scared Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. The couple was blessed with three children in the years that followed. His entire working life, Al worked in the supply room at Brown Printing Company in Waseca. He made countless friends there over the years, finally retiring in 1996. Despite suffering from a genetic condition called Marfan Syndrome all his life, Al worked through his difficulties and enjoyed fishing, ice fishing (he had an enormous icehouse), woodworking, and generally being handy in countless ways around his home and for the people that he loved. He was passionate about cars and he and his cousin, Butch, often raced stock-cars at the Morristown track. More than anything else in the world, though, Al’s children and family came before all else. He was an incredibly devoted father, and his children remember that he was always there whenever they needed him. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.
Al is survived by his loving wife of nearly 54 years, Barbara Wilker of Waseca; three children, Rhonda Wilker of El Paso, TX, Jason Wilker of Waseca, and Tonya Wilker of Waseca; one granddaughter, Courtney Robinson of El Paso; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Robin (David) Janssen of Waseca. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, and one great-grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Rev. Glenn Frerichs officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:30 PM until the time of the Mass at the church.
