Violetta Sophia Bollman was born on October 13, 1917 in Cumberland, WI, the 6th of the 17 children of Peter and Martha Bollman. Her parents moved to a farm at St. Clair, MN about 1920. She was confirmed at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in St. Clair. She attended country school near St. Clair. She and Arlie Fellows were joined in marriage on June 12, 1939. The following year, they bought the farm in LeRay Township where they lived, prospered, and raised their three children. She was occupied as a farmwife and mom until the mid-1960''s when she went to work at Boswell Nursery & Greenhouse in St. Clair. She also managed Boswell''s Retail Outlet on Madison Ave. in Mankato in the summer months. In 1973, she and her pal and co-conspirator, Reeve Cumming, bought, owned, and operated Madison East Liquor in Mankato for the following decade.

Noted for her green thumb, she was an avid gardener, fisherwoman, and wow could she cook and bake. Above all, her joy was her family. She loved to entertain and embrace a very tightknit and large extended family.

Letty is survived by her son, Jeff Fellows; grandchildren, Richard Noland and Laurie Strohm, both of Casper, WY; great grandchildren, Brandy Darlan of Casper, WY and Chance Strohm of Arlington, SD; brothers, John (Janet) Bollman of Forest Oaks, CA and Paul Bollman of Mankato; sisters, Helen Birdsall of Kelly Lake, MN and Elsie Hamm of

Corpus Cristi, TX.

Aunt Letty also leaves behind her tribe of loving nieces and nephews too large to be enumerated here.

She was preceded on her journey by Arlie, her husband of 72 years; daughter, Anita; son, Alan; parents; three siblings in infancy; brothers, Lawrence, Albert, Bill and Pete; and sisters, Edna, Alma, Marcella, Marie, and Valera.
