Thomas Henry May 25, 1944 - January 19, 2011

Thomas G. Henry, age 66, of Coon Rapids, died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at his home. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, May 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at McRaith Funeral Home and Crematory in Waseca, with Rev. Roger Haug officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea. Visitation will be held on Friday for one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Thomas Gary was born on May 25, 1944 to Philip and Mabel (Stoen) Henry in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato West High School. On April 16, 1965 Thomas entered the Army National Guard and was honorably discharged on August 30, 1965. He then attended Mankato State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Park and Recreation. Most recently Thomas was employed a courier driver for Dynamex Delivery Service in New Brighton. He loved sports especially the Minnesota Twins and was an avid Vikings fan. Thomas chose to donate his body to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program, to assist in the education of future health science professionals. He is survived by his friend Barb O''Malley of Coon Rapids; by his brother, Philip (Arla) Henry of Nixa, Mo; by his four sisters, Genielle (Pete) Mariner of Mason City, IA, Patricia Dollum of Albert Lea, Suzanne (Bob) Troska of Clever, MO and Sarah (Dave) Eikenberry of Englewood, FL; by his brother-in-law Wayne Offenhauser of Elysian; and by his sister-in- law Beverly Henry of Albert Lea. He was preceded in death by his parents; by two sisters; by his brother; and two brothers-in-law.
