PHYLLIS CAROL MARTY, age 70, of Elysian died on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Rivers Edge Hospital in St. Peter.
Born on January 23, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Robert and Bernadine (Inderrieden) Derrickson.  She graduated from Hastings High School in 1965 and the Minneapolis School of Art in 1967.  She married Lawrence Marty, January 18, 1994, in Hawaii, Hawaii.  Through the years she worked as a graphic artist at Gopher State Litho in Minneapolis and at Sexton Printing in West St. Paul.  She later worked as a free-lance graphic artist.  Phyllis enjoyed gardening, golfing and working with stain glass.
She is survived by her husband, Larry of Elysian; one daughter, Susan (John) Petrey of Wyoming; one granddaughter, Emily; and one brother, Robert (Anne) Derrickson of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017, from 1:00 – 3:00 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville.
