Marlene M. Janda was crowned with eternal life, by the grace of God, through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, on January 16, 2016.  She died at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND. 
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville.   Visitation will be held on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.  Marlene's body will await resurrection in Brown Cemetery, Henderson while her soul rejoices today in Paradise with Our Lord Jesus.
Marlene Marlys Rose was born to Arthur & Mabel (Remus) Rose on January 24, 1946 at New Ulm.  She was brought into the family of God through Holy Baptism at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Moltke Township, rural Gibbon, by The Reverend O.W. Rohde on February 10, 1946.  In 1949 she moved with her family from Gibbon to Henderson.  She was confirmed June 19, 1960 at Centennial Lutheran Church, Henderson by The Reverend Walter Mueller.  Her confirmation verse was Philippians 4:19.
Marlene graduated from Henderson High School on May 18, 1964 and completed her cosmetology training at Mankato Beauty School in 1965.  She worked at Mabel's Beauty Shop in Waterville from October 7, 1965 through February 6, 1970.
Marlene married LeRoy James Janda on June 15, 1968 at Centennial Lutheran Church in Henderson with The Reverend Henry Moll officiating. 
Marlene owned and operated Marlene's Beauty Nook in Waterville from December 1974 through October 2015.
Marlene & LeRoy moved to Fargo, ND in November 2015 to be closer to their children & grandchildren.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville serving on the Evangelism and Finance boards several years.  She also was a member of Trinity Lutheran LWML serving as secretary, vice president and president various years.
Marlene's life was spent willingly serving her Lord, studying the Bible, and volunteering many hours at her beloved church.  She had a steadfast belief in Our Triune God and a deep love of family.  Spending time with her precious children, grandchildren, and family was her special delight.
She is survived by her husband LeRoy; daughters, Shari (Vasantha) Soori, Fargo, ND; and Stacey (Carlton) Heuchert, St. Thomas, ND; grandchildren,  Noah Carl Heuchert, John Roy Heuchert, Rose Elsie Soori, and Isaiah Charles Soori; brother,  Marlin (Joan) Rose, Henderson; and sister,  Avonne (Gerald) Schuett, Brownton.
Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.
