Margaret Coleman August 25, 1916 - December 29, 2010

Margaret C. (Culhane) Coleman, age 94, of Rochester and formerly of Faribault, died on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at the Samaritan Bethany Heights Nursing Home in Rochester. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 139 Mercy Dr., Faribault. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Faribault. Visitation will be held at the Parker Kohl Funeral Home in Faribault on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church. Margaret Catherine Culhane, was born to John and Margaret (Foley) Culhane on August 25, 1916 in Shieldsville Township, Rice County, MN. She was raised on the family farm. Margaret attended country school and graduated from Bethlehem Academy in 1933. She married Raymond J. Coleman on July 27, 1943 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault, MN. They traveled to Luke Field Air Force base outside of Phoenix, AZ when Ray entered the Army. She worked on the base until Ray was shipped out to Germany. After Ray returned to Faribault they both worked at the Faribault Regional Center until retirement. Ray preceded her in death on September 2, 1999. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church (Divine Mercy Church) and was active in the Rosary Society. She has resided at the Samaritan Bethany Heights nursing home in Rochester, MN since November of 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Trish) and Jim Hough of Byron; by two grandsons, Chris of Byron and Matt of Rochester; five great grandchildren, Cassandra Marian, Ryan Zachery and Austin James, Charlotte Louise and Victoria Ann. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; her parents; sister, Mary Young; and brother, Daniel Culhane Sr.
