Lowell M. Dahl, age 91, of Waseca passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at North Waseca Lutheran Church in Waseca with Pastor Nancy Hanson officiating. Interment will be held at North Waseca Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca.

Lowell Morris Dahl was born on November 27, 1923 to Martha (Hagen) and Goodwin Dahl. Lowell''s twin brother, Lyle, was born before midnight on November 26th and Lowell after midnight, so the twins had different birthdays.

Lowell was baptized and confirmed at North Waseca Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member there. He served as church treasurer, financial secretary and on the cemetery board for many years.

Lowell attended country school, District 5, and graduated from Central High School in 1941. He attended Rochester Community College from 1941-1942. He served in the United States Army from 1946-47 in the Adjutant General Department and was stationed in Japan.

Lowell was a lifelong farmer on the farm his great-grandfather homestead in1859. The farm was honored as a Sesquicentennial Farm in 2009. While farming, he worked at E.F. Johnson Company for 18 years. He was a member of the Farm Bureau, National Corn Growers'' Association, and the VFW. He refinished and rebuilt furniture for thirty years.

Lowell is survived by his sister, Sylva (Joe) Kubicek of Lake Crystal, MN; and by seven nieces and nephews, Paula (Mike) Huston, Gail (Dennis) Westberg, Ron (Karen) Dahl all

of California, Gretchen (John) Steer of Rochester, MN, Christina (Richard) Stout of Ohio, James (Marilee) Kubicek of Michigan, and Kathryn Moe of Minneapolis, and special friend, Lois Gossman.

He was preceded by parents, Martha and Goodwin Dahl; brother, Lyle Dahl and wife, Solveig; and nephews, Wade and John Kubicek and Arthur Moe.
