Judy Ann Cheney

JUDY ANN CHENEY, age 57 of Elysian, died at her home on Monday, October 24, 2022.


Born in Mount Clemens, MI on July 30, 1965, Judy was the daughter of Robert and Janice (Reed) Weinert. She was raised in the communities of Richmond and St. Clair, MI, and attended school in the East China School District of St. Clair County, MI. She worked on roofing crews as a shingler for many years, and later worked for Gear & Broach (now North American Gear & Forge) in Waterville. Judy’s children and grandchildren were central to her life, and she loved following their activities and spending time with them whenever she could. She was a great grandma who will be missed every day.


Judy is survived by two sons, Casey (Tracey) Robinson of Madison Lake, and Zach Cheney and his girlfriend Megan Georgeson of Madison Lake; eight beloved grandchildren; and two sisters, Terri Bolla and Jackie Achatz both of Michigan. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her previous husband, Mark Cheney; her daughter, Ashley Robinson; her brother, William “Bill” Weinert; a brother-in-law, Chris Achatz; and a nephew, Frank Achatz.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at the Waterville Chapel of Dennis-Steffel-Omtvedt Funeral and Cremation Service, with Rev. Kathy King officiating. Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at 1:15 p.m. at Westford Cemetery in Truman.
