Joseph F. "Joe" Lorentz, age 66 of Janesville, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at his home in Janesville.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 29th at 11:00 A.M. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville with Fr. Peter Klein, Celebrant. Interment will follow in Mankato''s Calvary Cemetery.

The Lorentz Family will greet friends on Saturday morning at St. Ann Church from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., prior to services at church. Arnoldt-McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory of Janesville is handling arrangements.

Joseph Francis was born April 10, 1946 in Waseca, Minnesota to Anton and Elizabeth (Haley) Lorentz. He was a graduate of Janesville High School. Joe served his country in the United States Navy from September of 1965 until his honorable discharge in September of 1968. He lived for a short time in San Francisco before returning home to Janesville. For much of his career Joe worked as a bartender in Janesville, where he managed the American Legion Hall, and later in Waterville. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Janesville. Joe loved playing bingo, and was an avid Elvis fan!

He is survived by his sister, Anita (Dale) Schnoor of Casa Grande, AZ, and his brother, Rueben "Tony" (Linda) Lorentz of Coon Rapids; nieces and nephews, Ken (Lisa) Schnoor, Meri Schnoor, Susan (Robert) Lopez, Dean (Michelle) Lorentz, Darin (Danielle Law) Lorentz; Danette (Kent Anderson) Brand, Devin (Tina Bouing) Lorentz; grandnieces and grandnephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
