James Kopischkie January 15, 1943 - October 6, 2010

James J. Kopischkie, age 67, of Faribault and formerly of Chippewa Falls, Wis., passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from complications of dementia at Sheltering Arms St. Lucas Center in Faribault. He was born January 15, 1943 to John and Marie (Spitzenburger) Kopischkie in Chippewa Falls. Jim Served in the Army in Germany for 2 years during Vietnam. He was a member of American Legion Post #77. He worked many different jobs in his life including Carpentry, drafting, and being a jack of all trades and master of none. He had worked for Tschopp and Durch and he recently retired from Market and Johnson in 2005. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by: his loving wife, Bonnie (Kolb) Kopischkie of Faribault, his daughter, Pam Kopischkie of Elk Mound, his stepchildren, Kim Paddock of Northfield, Minn. and Kory (Sarah) Kuusisto of Forest Lake, Minn.; two sisters, Susan (Bruce) Oldfield, of Eau Claire and Nancy (Marc) Kobliska of Chippewa Falls; and his Loving grandchildren, Aaron Burgess, Erik and Adam Paddock, and Garrett and Hannah Kuusisto; and three nephews. Jim was preceded in death by: his parents; and one niece, Mary Kobliska. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Notre Dame Church, Chippewa Falls. Rev. Brian Jazdzewski will be celebrant of the funeral Mass. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Chippewa Falls. Military rites will be provided by the Chippewa Falls Patriotic Council. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, October 10 and until 10 a.m. Monday at the Horan Funeral Home, Chippewa Falls. There will be a Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Local arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribualt.
