James Klug April 17, 1964 - August 19, 2009

James F. Klug, age 45 of Montgomery, formerly of Waseca, died on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at his home. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary Cemetery. The Klug Family will greet friends on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca, and will continue on Saturday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 7:45 pm parish prayer service Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Alcoholics Anonymous, or the Sacred Heart Educational Endowment Fund. James Francis was born on April 17, 1964 in Waseca, Minnesota to John and Mary (Olson) Klug. He attended Sacred Heart Parochial School for the first four years, and then Waseca Public Schools. Jim graduated in 1982 from Waseca High School. He worked as a cement worker in Waseca, Mankato, Rochester, and the Twin Cities. Jim developed an alcohol problem, and was never able to recover from it. He is survived by his parents, John and Mary Klug of Waseca; by his brothers and sisters, Patricia (Jim) Johnson of Crete, NE, Margaret (Mike) Steffens of rural Waseca, Thomas Klug of rural Waseca, Helen (Bruce) Kleaver of Prior Lake, George (Joanne) Klug of New Richland, Mary Catherine (Tim) Talbott of Olathe, KS, Philip Klug, William (Lisa) Klug, and Steven Klug, all of Waseca; by aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Theodore and Josephine Olson, and his paternal grandparents George and Bertha Klug.
