Francis E. Roesler, age 84 of Waseca, died on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Lakeshore Inn, Waseca. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer, Celebrant. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Waseca. The Roesler Family will greet friends on Monday January 17th from 4 to 8 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home & Crematory in Waseca, and will continue on Tuesday afternoon for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 7:30 p.m. parish prayer service Monday evening at the funeral home. Francis Edward was born on April 2, 1926 in Watertown, South Dakota to Edward and Lucy (Kahnke) Roesler. He was united in marriage to Theresa S. Kapsch at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Ely, Minnesota. Francis and Theresa raised their family and farmed their entire married life in Iosco Township, Waseca County. Francis was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council # 2768, Waseca County Farm Bureau, and the Waseca Sportsman''s Club. He enjoyed fox hunting and deer hunting, fishing, and shooting sports. Francis is survived by his sons Edward C. (Barbara) Roesler of Waseca, John L. (Delores) Roesler of Flowery Branch, GA, Jerome F. Roesler of Waseca, and Thomas S. Roesler of White Bear Lake; by his daughters Mary T. Roesler of Lake Mills, IA, Katherine L. (Joseph) Malatesta of Soldotna, AK; by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa on December 17, 2009; by his parents. Honorary bearers are Francis''s grandchildren: Lisa Sailor, Brian Roesler, Daniel Roesler, Joseph Roesler, Michael Roesler, Alex McDermott, Emily Monson, DeLynda Malatesta, Joseph Malatesta III, and Stefany Malatesta.
