ELAINE SELMA SACK, age 82 of Waseca died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Colony Court in Waseca.
Born on October 27, 1936 in Mankato, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Herbert and Selma (Strehlo) Proehl.  She graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1954.  Elaine married Kenneth Sack on June 7, 1957 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  She was employed at Brown Printing Co. in Waseca for 30 years.  She enjoyed reading and word puzzles.  Elaine was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Elaines church activities included singing in the choir and quilting.  She greatly appreciated her friends in the quilting group.  Above all, her commitment to her family was always of most importance.
She is survived by five children, James (Kathy) Sack of Owatonna, Julie (Ron) Lowry of Chapin, SC, William (Diane) Sack of Mesa, AZ, Carol Sack of Nashau, NH, Steven (Laura) Sack of Mesa, AZ; 6 grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters.  She is also survived by one sister, Helen Schoenfeld of Medford; one brother, Dwayne (Anita) Proehl of St. Paul; and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Clarence (Helen) Proehl; one sister, Vivian (Dorwin) Peterson; and one brother-in-law, Clifford Schoenfeld. 
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.   Visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church.   Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
Elaines family would like to acknowledge and thank all friends and family for the prayers and support shown to them and their mother throughout her illness.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
