Eileen Krueger September 6, 1922 - December 9, 2010
Eileen Krueger, age 88, of Faribault, died on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Pleasant Manor Nursing Home in Faribault. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Catholic Church (139 Mercy Drive) in Faribault, with the Rev. Erik Lundgren, officiating. Interment will be held at the Calvary Cemetery in Kilkenny. Visitation will be held on Saturday for one hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home of Faribault. Eileen Sevilla Murray, the daughter of John and Helen (Doran) Murray, was born on September 6, 1922 in Kilkenny, Minnesota. She attended grade school in LeCenter Country and later graduated from Montgomery High School with the class of 1939. After graduating from high school, Eileen continued her education for teachers training in LeCenter and also at Winona State University and Mankato State University. On June 11, 1947, Eileen was united in marriage to Leonard Hanley; he later preceded her in death. She later married Kenneth Krueger on July 27, 1989 at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Faribault. Eileen was an elementary school teacher her entire life and taught at both Jefferson Elementary and Immaculate Conception Elementary School for the last ten years of her teaching career. She enjoyed going on trips and playing cards with Ken and her friends. Eileen was a member of the Faribault Aerie 1460 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and the Daughters of Isabella. Eileen is survived by her husband, Kenneth Krueger of Faribault and by other relatives and friends. Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister and her first husband Leonard.
