DEBBIE SCHLUETER, age 61 of Waterville died on Friday, April 22, 2016 following a brief illness.
Born on September 14, 1954 in Tipton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Robert L. and Lucile (Anderson) Schlueter. Deb attended Northwood/Kensett Elementary School in Northwood, IA, and Jr. High in Mount Carroll, IL before graduating from Waterville High School in 1973. Deb was retired from Brown Printing Co. in Waseca and had later worked at Koda Living Center in Owatonna for five years. She loved animals and celebrating and decorating for the holidays. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, listening to music, watching movies, traveling, bowling, and spending time with family. Deb was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville and the Trinity Lutheran Women.
She is survived by her mother, Lucile of Waterville; siblings, Bill (Gerri) Schlueter of Waterville, Jane (Jeff) Thomas of Waterville, Gail (Dave) Anderson of McGregor, twin brother, Ed Schlueter of Waseca, Randy (Jill) Schlueter of Waterville, Shelly (Gary) Appel of Tyler, and Toni Ahlman of Morristown; 16 nieces and nephews; and 28 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Schlueter.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 4-7 PM and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterville with Rev. David Mumme officiating. Burial will follow at Sakatah Cemetery in Waterville.
