David P. LeMieux September 7, 1944 - June 28, 2014

David P. LeMieux, age 69, of Faribault, passed away, Saturday, June 28, 2014 at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale, MN following a sudden illness.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Patrick in Shieldsville, MN.

Memorial visitation will be held at the Church of St. Patrick on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Wednesday morning for one hour prior to services.

Arrangements are being completed by the Parker Kohl Funeral Home & Crematory of Faribault.

David Paul, the son of Napoleon and Angeline (Kitzman) LeMieux, was born on September 7, 1944 in Faribault. He attended Faribault High School and graduated with the class of 1962. On November 16, 1963 he was united in marriage to Mary (Peggy) VanHoudt at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Faribault. After high school Dave began a 33 year career at McQuay International and retired as a Foreman in 1995. In 1996 Dave started as a Press Foreman with Mercury Minnesota and worked there until 2007. Dave loved birds, especially Blue Birds. He has fledged thousands of Blue Birds over the years and received different awards and recognition for his efforts. Dave also was conscious of his land and over the years has planted many trees to restore a wild life management area on his property. On his land he also built "The Shack" where he loved to spend time every day no matter what type of weather. He enjoyed fishing and going on fishing trips with friends and family to Canada and four wheeling. Dave especially enjoyed spending time with all of his family. Dave was a member of the Blue Bird Association, the Bass Federation and the Cedar Lake Sportsman Club.

He is survived by his wife Peggy LeMieux of Faribault; by five children and their families, Jamie LeMieux of Brainerd, MN and her children, Jesse, Ben and Sarah Sanders, Chrissy (Scott) Pineur of Faribault and their children, Sam and Allie Pineur, Dave (Chris) LeMieux

of Faribault and their daughters, Megan and Molly LeMieux, Angel (Chad) Donnay of St. Cloud, MN and their son Dylan Donnay and Andy (Shari) LeMieux of Morristown and their children, Nick and Kayci LeMieux; by his mother, Angeline LeMieux of Faribault; by his sister, Mary Jo Chapman of Morristown; by his brother, Don (Lisa) LeMieux of Kilkenny; by his brother-in-law, Jim (Carol) VanHoudt of Hugo, MN and by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends and by his faithful companion, Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his father, by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hank and Gen VanHoudt and by his brother-in-law, Wally Chapman.
