Alice Wright November 7, 1925 - August 14, 2009

Alice C. Wright, age 83, of Waseca, died on Friday, August 14, 2009 at her home, surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Marty Schaefer officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McRaith Funeral Home in Waseca, and will continue on Monday morning for one hour prior to services, at church. There will be a 5:30 p.m. parish prayer service Sunday afternoon, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Alice Catherine was born on November 7, 1925 in Waseca, Minnesota to Joseph and Margaret (Kane) McCarthy. Alice graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1943. On October 8, 1947 she was united in marriage to Thomas V. Wright at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Alice lived her entire life in Waseca. She had a long career with E.F. Johnson Co. in Waseca, retiring after 23 years of service. For the last 15 years she worked at the Waseca Area Senior Citizen Center. Alice was a life member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was a former member of, the Catholic Daughters- Court Sacred Heart and various church circles, the Waseca Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary Aerie #3753, and the VFW Sweet-Sommers Auxiliary #1642. Alice enjoyed baking and gardening, and loved time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Michael (Sandy) Wright of Rosemount, Patricia Hanson of Waseca, and Pam Wright of Rochester; by her grandchildren Angie (Geoff) Okerstrom, Amy Cables, Alicia (Mike) Bril, Katie (Shawn) Credle, Aaron (Maggie) Wright, Abbey Hanson, and Jeremy (Heather) Hanson; by her great grandchildren Taylor Okerstrom, Andrew Nowicki, Danny Nowicki, Averi Okerstrom, Julianna Reagan, Caeden Bril, and Noah Bril; by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her daughter Johellen, and great granddaughter Kaitlyn; by her six brothers and four sisters.
